How to clean and sanitize the bounce house? You will need the following tools: a shop vacuum, clean rags, cleaning solution, disinfectant, and a slide lubricant. Roll out your inflatable and inflate (Read more: How to setup, operate and take down a bounce house). If the inflatable was wet allow it to completely air dry so that there is no remaining water. Start off by vacuuming debris and dirt from the inside.
Vacuuming
You may use a standard shop-vac and an extension. What this does is it allows you to have a free hand once you’re inside of the unit. If you don’t have the extension, you can still use the shop-vac. Be aware, these are wet-dry shop-vacs, which means if they get tipped over, there’s a ball inside that will prevent it from sucking. If you need to turn the unit off, place it upright, waiting for it to power down completely, and then turn it back on to proceed.
The first step is to remove any large objects, any balls that are in here, socks, any jewelry that you find, hair ties, remove those first. Once that’s done, we’re going to start vacuuming. We’re going to start from the back and we’re going to work our way to the front of the unit. We want to make sure that we clean all of the cracks and crevices, starting in the corner.
Sanitizing
That we’ve finished vacuuming, we’re going to move on to sanitizing. Next using a cleaning solution thoroughly clean the entire inflatable inside and out with the clean rags. Use a disinfectant spray to sanitize the inflatable. Allow disinfectants to sit for some time to work properly. Read the product label for the correct concentration to use, application method, and contact time. If your inflatable consists of a slide use slide lubricant to keep the surface slippery. Note although the slide lubricant may help slide linings will eventually need to be replaced.
The first thing we’re going to do is we’re going to get all the touchpoints on everything that’s off the ground, we’re going to spray liberally, and using a towel that’s folded in quarters, we’re going to use long strokes to wipe up. I’m folding my towel frequently to make sure that I have a clean surface area. Now I’m going to go ahead and start with the floor.
Normally, we’d start with the back and work our way forward. I’m going to start in the middle. With the spray bottle in your leading hand, set to mist, we’re going to spray and wipe down as we move. When I reach the end, I change hands, keeping my spray bottle in my leading hand, big sweeping motions. In many areas where there is visible dirt or debris, we’re going to take a little bit extra time and make sure we get those areas clean.
That we’ve got all of the vinyl inside the unit cleaned and sanitized, we’re ready to exit. Make sure that you get to the exit areas. It’s a high-touch area for the kids so make sure that it’s nice and clean. We want to make sure we clean the outside of the unit, in particular the entrance. Then we’ll walk around the unit. Any areas that appear to be dirty, we’ll go ahead and clean.
Once the inflatable bounce house has completely dried roll up and store.
There’s nothing like a good bounce house to keep the kids entertained. But before you can enjoy it, you need to make sure it’s properly cleaned and sanitized. Here’s how to do it:
1) Start by emptying out any debris that may be inside. This includes leaves, sticks, and other objects that could cause injury.
2) Next, use a hose or pressure washer to clean the entire surface of the bounce house. Make sure to get all the nooks and crannies, especially around the seams.
3) Finally, sanitize the bounce house with a bleach solution. Be sure to follow the instructions on the bottle carefully. Let the Bounce House dry completely before using
